At the Dan Finn Foundation Charity Gala in 2015, State Trooper Bill “no fear” Fearon was honored. Bill had been diagnosed with a severe form of cancer that was connected to his heroic efforts at the site of “Ground Zero” fourteen years earlier. Obviously in pain, he stood before a crowd of 350 people at the Newark Club and told them not to feel sorry for him. He vowed to fight his condition with his every last breath.
Bill took that last breath immediately after Christmas and left with us a legacy that will not be matched any time soon. We respect him, we salute him, and we remember him always!!! Rest in peace, Bill, and please say a prayer for all of us.
