Chief Mike Kelly Joins Joe Klecko As DFF Distinguished Citizen

The Dan Finn Foundation Charity Gala is proud to announce that newly appointed Jersey City Police Chief Michael J. Kelly has been selected as one of our four “Distinguished Citizens” and will be honored accordingly at Maritime Parc on October 4, 2018. Chief Kelly joins retired New York Jet Defensive lineman Joe Klecko as the foursome is being rounded out.

A long time friend of the Dan Finn Foundation, Mike coached the St. Peter’s Prep team in the Classic for many years including the double overtime game against St. Anthony that many rank as one of the top five games in Hudson County history. He is a thirty plus year veteran of the JCPD who earned his way to the top by going through the ranks.

The DFF each year tries to present a rounded group of worthy recipients to follow in the footsteps of others, such as Jerrimiah Healy, Bill Raftery, Timmy Higgins, Carol Blazejowski, James McGreevey, Elnardo Webster, Ray Lucas, Paul Silverman, Steve Ricciardi, Chris Hurley, Maureen Hulings, Mike Kinney, Kevin Cummings, Tom DeGise, John Irvine, Rev. Jim Keenan, SJ, Mary Klinger, Bob Cecchini, Gary Greenberg, and Eric Legrand.

Further information along with tickets on the Gala will be available soon.
